"What a great evening at Pearl’s. The Quartet was amazing! As a slightly used trumpet player myself, your versatility, style, and range of solo ideas was masterful - as were Adam, Marcus and Jeff. The swinging quality and originality of the group “blew me away.” Here’s hoping you can keep the “beat” going." - Stan Shaff, sound in space choreographer and creater of AUDIUM sound theatre.

The Dave Scott Jazz Quartet performed at Jazz at Pearl's nite club, 256 Columbus Ave, San Francisco, on Thursday, September 14, 2006, at 8pm and 10pm. It was a great night, successfully promoted the day before with a radio interview on KCSM 91.1 FM, the Bay Area's Jazz Station.

  • When he is in town, Dave Scott can be heard performing trumpet Sunday mornings at Glide Memorial Methodist Church . Glide has a seven piece, three horn gospel band, and the music is always exciting. In the movie "Pursuit of Happyness," actor Will Smith portrayed the real life story of a man who turned his life around with the help of Glide Church. The church is located in the San Francisco neighborhood known as the Tenderloin.
  • Dave Scott also performs lead trumpet every Monday evening at Jazz at Pearls, a jazz niteclub located in the North Beach district of San Francisco, with the Contemporary Jazz Orchestra, a sixteen piece big band. Shows are at 8pm and 10pm. Cover charge is $10. Minors are welcome.

  • Dave is the lead trumpet player with nationally acclaimed Marcus Shelby Orchestra, whose latest CD, Portrait of Harriet Tubman , has reached the top twenty on Billboard Jazz Chart.

  • Dave is the lead trumpet player with the Realistic Orchestra, a 16 piece big band with a DJ and a rapper. which performs every first Tuesday evening of the month at newly re-opened Brunos nite club, 2389 Mission St, San Francisco. The Realistic Orchestra was voted “Best Jazz Band” in 2004 by SF Weekly."These guys are a real organic jazz group that has found a way to actually interact with one another using digital technology. Impressive! A jazz group that makes the synthetic organic...and vice versa." ~ Charlie Hunter.
  • Dave has been touring in the summers with the guitarist, singer, songwriter, and rock star Boz Scaggs since 2004. In August 2006, the Boz Scaggs Band toured the country, performing in LA, San Diego, Las Vegas, Phoenix, New York CIty, Boston, and Atlantic City.
